Resurgence Psychiatric Services welcomes clients ages 6 to 99 who are seeking collaborative, compassionate care for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and etc. We provide patient centered strategies aimed at reducing symptoms, developing manageable personalized treatment plans, promoting positive thinking, healthy social interaction, and a calm, focused mind.
MEET YOUR PROVIDER
Marian Green, PMHNP-BC is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Newport News, Virginia. With over 40 years of experience in the healthcare field, she offers expert mental health care through personalized medication management and compassionate support. Her mission is to meet you where you are and help foster positive, life-affirming change.
Her educational background includes an A.S. in Journalism from Miami-Dade Community College, a B.S. in Mass Communications from Florida International University, and multiple nursing degrees including an LPN from Lindsey Hopkins Technical College, an A.S. in Nursing from Miami-Dade Community College Medical Campus, an M.S. in Community Health from Old Dominion University, and an M.S. in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health from Walden University. She is ANCC Board-Certified.
Marian has served in various clinical roles including Medical-Surgical Nursing, care for developmentally delayed patients, Special Immunology, Medical ICU, and Mental Health. She worked as a Behavioral Health Nurse Supervisor at Eastern State Psychiatric Hospital for 14 years. Marian worked as the Mental Health Intensive Case Management/Nurse at the Hampton VA Medical Center for 10 years. During her tenure as the MHICM Nurse Marian was rewarded Secretary of Veterans Affairs Exemplary Nurses Award in 2015. As a proud member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Marian supports community health awareness and diversity. Her clinical focus includes psychiatric medication management, compassionate care, and serving a diverse population with professionalism, integrity, and empathy.
